A fun initiative from The Idiot (as seen on Facebook):
To mark what would have been composer Frank Zappa’s 70th birthday on 21 December 2010, let’s try and repeat the success of Rage Against The Machine’s Christmas #1 with “The Black Page”.
You can purchase and download Frank’s Synclavier version of the track (for just 79p) on Amazon UK. Spread the word!
Not bad but I think Cage against the machine is a better idea. Imagine 4’33” of silence at the top of the charts!

Why not? Is it possible to buy a track twice with the same account.
this is brillant idea.would they dare play it to the the shoppers at chirstmas time. if the cage fans want 4’33”, they should vote for the fank zappa version on the john cage antholgy.
frank
Sadly, FZ’s version of 4’33” cannot be purchased separately (eg. as a single download). But Cage and Zappa at numbers one and two would suit me…

I’m not so sad about that, frankly, because when I finally get around to getting that Cage tribute album, I know I’ll want to hear the other peoples’ contributions as well.
Jimmy Page against the Machine, or even better Plant against the Machine (geddit?)…
