I once had a couple of coffee table volumes of The Best Album Art of the 60s, 70s, and 80s (until my son cut them out and pasted his walls with them). The following link to banned album cover is surely a must see, Balint:

One day, a long, long time ago . . .
A friend of mine proudly showed me the back of his denim jean jacket.
He had painted a small Led Zeppelin mural with bright shades of pastel in acrylic paint. And I thought . . . hmm, not bad, but I bet I could do better. So, I bought some paint/brushes and started my own jacket (Gentle Giant I). I wore it around the neighborhood and people starting asking me to paint there jackets as well. I stuck to the more simplistic album covers (my early talent had its limits). But there was so much to chose from. It was a great way to make a little cash and the hours were good!

I had the same book (mysteriously dasappeared since), I recall the volume I had included Waters’ Pros/Cons of Hitchhiking and Country Life by Roxy Music. Two of my favorite Anal bum covers.
