When Japanese Flash Designers Get Emotional
This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Bookmark the permalink.
How cool! Best flash animation I have ever seen. Very sad, too. I wonder what it said on the middle box at the end.(Snif)
Beautiful and really sad…I’d need a severe dose of The Ramones to cheer spirit :-)
Hey,Hello,I’m A Zappa fan in Japan.
I would like to tell someone who like this flash about
the meaning of Japanese words in it.
The cat who sings a song is called “Shii”.And the yellow boxes
which exists on both sides of her are cases of beer bottles
(I guess it can encase two dozens of bottles). And an upside-down
Japanese word on those cases is “Mona beer”.”Mona” is another
cat’s name who isn’t Shii’s heartbraker(His name is “Giko”.
Those character of cats is well-known on Japanese Internet).
The word in front of the central box is “Shii”,The She-cat’s
name. In last scene, the word changes “Mona’s house agent:
NOW LEASING”.
The subtitle in the end of this flash means “Made by
Mr.Anonymous”.
I’m Sorry for lack of laconicism in this writing.
I’m not accustomed to use your language.
Hey Yoshida, thanks for shedding some light on this! ;o)
Thank you for the translation, Yoshida. It deepens the meaning. Nice to hear from a Zappa fan from Japan!
Nice to meet you Yoshida! I can’t believe this has happened: Yoshida is a Zappafan!! (insert the eye-popping emoticon here) Barry, didya find Yoshida’s site from a place Zappa related? If this is not CC, i dunno where it is…
Yoshida, never mind about the English thing, yours seems to be pretty correct and there’s a lot of us around here that aren’t accustomed either.
If you like Zappa, maybe you’d like to visit Barry’s Kill Ugly Radio site, and the forums…Thanks for the translations!
Thank you for welcoming me,I am also glad at your hospitality.
In Japan, there are some few but enthusiastic Zappa fans including amateur cover bands.
I suppose FZ’s music is so universal that those who grow up in different cultural background
can enjoy it.The General image of FZ’s music in Japan is “difficult”,”complicated” and so on.
But I think it’s an one-sided way. It’s true that his music is intricate, but it’s also funny and interesting to listen to.
By the way,as regards myself,I don’t have any website of my own(I mean Not Yet). And my skill
in using English is so poor that I had to consult my dictionary many times while I was writing this.
It’s too bad I can’t take participation in your on-line chat.Anyway, thank you very much!
Omedeto Gozaimasu, Yoshidasan. Anata no eigo wa jozu desu!
