Since I haven’t got a copy of FZ:OZ yet, I’ll just ask any of you reading this who already got their sweaty little hands on the much anticipated album, to post their reviews in the comments. If you need me I’ll be over there in the corner, drooling enviously.

Lowara FZ / OZ Series 6″ submersible borehole pumps for deep wells
The Pump
The submersible pumps FZ / OZ are the combination of a multi stage centifugal pump with a submersible motor series OS6 or F6 (for small ratings also OS4 and F4)
The pump is sturdy and light, easy to assemble and corrosion-resistant in non-arresive enviroments since it is almost entirely made in stainless steel.
The guide bearings and the wear rings are made from special high nitrile content rubber to ensure longer and more efficient resistance to wear and abrasion
The surfaces in contact with the fluid (impeller and diffusers), being extremely smooth (low frition coefficient) guarantee high performances and low energy consumption.
The low moment of inertia of the pump, thanks to the small sized impellers, requires a weaker pickup of the motor
they made me do it…
Captivating review, Bob…Glad you got your copy already :-)
I’ve received mine. I’ve been busy posting the news all over the place… I will post on the topic shortly.
SOFA
Okay; I figured pasting the stuff I’ve already written in other forums was easier, so if this seems a little “Stream of Consiousness”, forgive me…
I hold in my hand 2 disks from the stages of his fine, fine, super fine
career. (Hands tremble slightly as I carefully cut the celophane…)
Cardboard jewel – not nearly as slick as the last several (EIHN, ZplaysZ, CivIII) – very basic. I’m reading the liner notes now…
(LOL! The Vault is refered to as the “FZ Sequin Mines”)
“This is the first in a series of live recordings” – there it is, in black & white!
Okay, done with the liner notes. Bizarre, cryptic p.s.:
“FZ enjoyed his experiences in Australia as revealed in certain resultant manifestations – *Florentine Pogen*, for instance – but this is merely an irrelevant clue.” Shit! Now I gotta find out what that means…
I’ll report further on the listening experience – after I’ve experienced it.
(Thank you Jesus! Thank you Frank!)
Contained in my copy is a neon purple, “sticky-note” sized, piece of paper with TBN’s motto (in English) “Music is the Best”, hand initialed by Gail… Cool!
Tucked inside the cardboard jacket, a tri-fold ‘liner notes’ with a list of extinct and endangered Flora and Fauna, a celebration of Moon’s wedding, two memorials for 9-11 victims, and on the other side (that’s right, you guessed
right) the promised list of pre-orderers – my name is 37th from the start – upper left. More cool!
(np – Filthy Habits)
((I think I may have wet myself))
(np – Black Napkins)
First Impression – the band was tight! (Damn Roy, didn’t know you had it in ya!) They could well have called this “The Best Boot You’ve Never Heard in Your Life”; most sublime! (For those wondering right now, when I say boot, I mean “Stage series” quality boot.)
Set list for whomever requested it:
Disk 1 –
1) Horden Intro
2) Stink-Foot
3) Poodle Lecture
4) Dirty Love
5) Filthy Habits

9) Zoot Allures
10) Keep it Greasy
11) Dinah-Moe Humm
12) Camarillo Brillo
13) Muffin Man

I found 11 members from The BIG Note on the dedication list. I’m not sure about KUR as I’ve no access to anyone’s real name (saw Eric Johnson tho’, on page 1)
(np – Dinah-Moe… ooops, make that Camarillo Brillo, second encore).
I can’t tell you how cool this set is. This band did NOT recieve the accolades they richly deserved…
SOFA
Thanks SOFA!
I sure wish that info had been available prior to all the pre-ordering shenanigans and secret game playing. I guess they had their reasons. Oh, me of little faith! I really do hope this is the start of a new era for all interested parties!
Thanks for the review, SOFA!
So many thanks for the review, Sofa!!
Canard “Toujours”…? mmm…intriguing :-)
I wasn’t too fond of FZ:OZ. To see Zappa go from the 74 band that could play anything, to this 5 person rock combo that wasn’t very tight at all is rather sad. Considering alot of the songs are new material to fit the band it’s not bad as a true gem of the Zappa library. But remember this one thing, Zappa is the only guitarist present during this recording. And Zappa can’t/won’t play guitar and sing at the same time. So alot of parts are lacking some guitar riffs that we are all use to hearing. I think it would have been better to have the ZFT release material from the part of the ’84 band when Napolean was with them. Think of it. Frank Zappa, Ike Willis, Ray White, Bobby Martin, AND Napolean Murphy Brock ALL on the same stage singing. What vocal power that must have been. It’s one of the many things I remember Ike mentioning.
One good thing I forgot to mention. I DID get my “titties ‘n’ beer” t-shirt with FZ:OZ! >=)
