Happy Valentines Day

Don’t ask me why but there’s an Austro-Germanic theme in todays poop……
first up, Professor Onur Gunturkun (sorry, my keyboard can’t do umlauts let alone break the eggs) who is interested in asymmetry.
Heard these guys on the old Raddyo this morning – if your in London or Hamburg it may (or may not) be worthwhile checking them out.
And for those fluent in German (not me I’m afraid – apologies to Dr Sharleena for my appalling knowledge of South American languages) what appears to be a biog of “Herr Spargel” the inspiration behind “Shall We Take Ourselves Seriously?”.

I’m disappointed… the vegetables orchestra does not play vagina carrots… Could that be a matter of sexism? The question of the century!!
Oh, and…have a happy Valentines day!

  2. Barry says:

Hmmm, sexist?… I think not… didn’t see any penis carrots either… Happy VD from all of us here at KUR! ;-)

  3. dmt says:

Vielen Dank, Herr Guacamole! I’ve heard of the Viennna Vegetable Orchestra. Maybe I ought to audition to play with those guys. I play a mean green zucchini, which is not to be confused with a pink oboe.

What the hell is a “Gurkenficke”?!
Is this something which guys with light blue hair get up to?

  5. dmt says:

Well, Ian, translated literally, “Gurkenficke” means….uh….well….”cucumber-fuck.” So, your suggestion, based on that charming historical event, doesn’t wander too far from the truth.

  6. dmt says:

Well, Ian, literally translated, “Gurkenficke” means…..uh…..well…….”cucumber-fuck.” Actually, you were pretty accurate with your reference to that glamorous historical event.
