No doubt you already got an answer on this — but a dental dam is a small piece of (usually) latex that dentists often use as a “shield” to prevent blood/fluid spattering while drilling. Another example of dental continuity! Proponents of ultra-safe sex (preventing the exchange of all body fluids except saliva), who believe that condoms should always be used for both intercourse and fellatio, have long recommended dental dam use during cunillingus, to prevent membrane-to-membrane genital contact. (I have seen a photo or two of these items in use, but alas, I lack the dexterity and coordination to use them. Yeah, that’s it — I’m uncoordinated!)
A nice selection may be found at the Good Vibrations website; in my own humble and joyful opinion, for a sexuality-related business, the GV people have the healthiest, most open and positive attitude. I think the world would be a far less tense and stupid place if more people in the world shared their perspective.

Glad to have learned something new. Thanks a bunch, Slap!!!
