“The cafeteria menus in the three House office buildings changed the name of ‘french fries’ to ‘freedom fries,’ in a culinary rebuke of France stemming from anger over the country’s refusal to support the U.S. position on Iraq. Ditto for ‘french toast,’ which will be known as ‘freedom toast’.”
This is starting to get really funny, if you ask me.

yeah. and i think the “Hamburger” (allthough referring to meat) should be renamed patriot-burger (because Hamburg is a german town and they are against the war.)
and the town stuttgart in arkansas should be renamed, too, along with all the other cities/towns/villages in the usa that bear german or french (+ all those countries that are against the war) names.
and the doughnut should be renamed in Do-it, because the original name sound too much like do-not. and that is completely inacceptable.
this is ridiculous, doun’t you think?
Couple more: Brussels sprouts (freedom sprouts), Belgian waffles (freedom waffles), Belgian chocolates (freedom chocolates), crème brulée (it’ll be hilareous to hear some congressman order “freedom cream”) – damn, this is getting me hungry…
The way that things are looking with Blairs “special relationship”, Americans will soon be ditching “English” as their language (OK, Rumsfeld and Dubya have never really spoken it anyway).
Yes: Freedomish seems like the way to go.
oh, actually…
i am just waiting for the day the us government decides to return the statue of liberty to france…
Bravo to the one, lone person in the cafeterias, who thinks the name change is ludicrous!
Tho’ “Arrogant, rifle-dropping, ungrateful, capitulating panzy” Fries does have a certain Genny-Say-Qua, doncha think?
There is no hell.
