Doing a reverse IP lookup for zappa.com can be an interesting passtime. Here’s what I found:
– Torchumuk.com, which leads to a page about ThingFish (and its StageCraft Entertainment edition),
– Zappaforgovernor.com, not a website as of yet, but the domain name was purchased august 2003 by none other than Gail (what for??),
– the Zappa Institute of Technology, also registered by Gail,
– Theater Near You, which looks like an abandoned project listing FZ music performances across the globe,
– Montanasoon.com and Televizion.com which both have “Authentication Required!” restrictions.
Kinda makes you wonder doesn’t it?

WOW! Barry, i think you’ve opened Pandora’s box here…What are these sites for? I’m surprised we never stumbled upon them before. The most intriguing one, for me, is Zappaforgovernor.com. Indeed, makes you wonder…
There was a article on the internet that said that Gail Zappa was running for governor of California, and she was running against “anyone who isn’t in a wheelchair” (reffering to Larry Flynt.) When I heard this, my thoughts were: “I don’t care who wins as long as ‘Ah-nuld’ doesn’t win.” Well, Ah-nuld won, and the state of California is screwed.
I like the comment from barry’s imaginary publisher about (what for ??). Is this a different imaginary publisher to the one who published this, barry ? Presumably the Montanasoon.com and Televizion.com sites are private, commercial or unfinished. What other answer is there to restricted access ?
Bert, lol, touchĂ©. However: Gail didn’t use the zappaforgovernor.com webspace for anything, did she? Why not? And yes, the montanasoon.com/televizion.com sites are private, commercial or unfinished—question is: what do they have cookin’ there?
Am glad i wasn’t just imagining things. As for the zfg website, better a change of mind, than a misguided political campaign. And whatever may be cookin, montanasoon.com sounds more interesting to me than televizion.com.
The televizion.com url is for ZappaRadio: http://streaming.televizion.com/
streaming.televizion.com
Damn, I still can’t figure out how to post a link into a comment for this site.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up Ike. By the way, for posting links in the comments, go like this: your link
