LOL!
You know, in this rapidly changing world, where Frank admonished that we could all succomb to “death by nostalgia”, it’s nice to know that some things never change…
Song of the moment: “How Can I Miss You When You Won’t Go Away?”
That’s funny, I was thinking along the lines of:
They’re Coming To Take Me Away HA-HAAA!! :D
Questions: so the original master tapes were not in a bad shape, az FZ always said? Nr. 2: will the “original” cover be on the front?
It seems so.
You will note that the ad doesn’t say original master tapes… To me, that says they found a clean LP and mastered that – not difficult, and (in all honesty) probably superior to FZ’s “remastered” stuff.
#2: it won’t be “original” without the ZFT’s permission; that was something they maintained (or retained, rather) even before Frank acquired the master tapes. However, they could probably get away with a very minor change to the “original” and we would be hard pressed to say what that change was…
I’ve bought WOIIFTM four times so far in various formats. I’m not buying it again!
@xorg: I was about to state the exact same thing here ;)
Wow, isaac, well i’ve sure missed him… wb isaac…
Please answer me, this means that we can have an uncensored “Money” with original bass ‘n drums??? :O!!
The current release on Ryko is uncensored with the original bass and drums..
Are you sure????
The Ryko release restores ‘the original Verve master’. I assume that means that it had yet to be tampered with.
oh, no… Also my copy is it… I was asking if this “new” copy has the Don’t come in me, Mother People verse, the Velvet underground line and stuff like that uncensored
Be assured that Mobile Fidelity has utilized nothing but the ORIGINAL ANALOG MASTERS for this reissue.
