    Could it be that ten years ago he was speaking for himself, but more recently he’s been speaking the words put there by the people behind the scenes? For example, if he had some electronic device prompting him during the Presedential debate that would tend to make him sound hesitant while he assimilated his instructions. Likewise, at other times he forgets the script and makes a mess of it. Who do I suspect is behind it? The Project for the New American Century, that’s who! http://www.newamericancentury.org/

    Though i could also believe there is an argument that, with Iraq being a trickier than the ‘thinkers’ thought, american public opinion looks up from it’s shooting and fishing, sports and beer day to dayness, and votes the new american century away.
