My wife and I love to dance to Frownland, thanks Barry! She’s 229 years old (I thinks).

Well, a strange thing happened to me… I always liked Bongo Fury and what Beefheart did with Zappa on that tour, but I never liked Trout Mask Replica and the solo-albums from that time… The ’74-show presented by Bálint was more than a surprise: I love it very much and I’m gonna listen to Beefheart again…

Thank you very much for this gem! I’ve had Trout Mask Replica for years…it’s never been a favorite, but I occasionally give it a listen.

This offering casts Beefhart in a whole new light in my opinion! Who Knew?

    …and it’s worth every penny!

    Well. Toot my floot!

Oh yeah and by the way, it wasn’t 1977 that Beefheart played Knebworth -it was 1975. I know, I was there! Pink floyd were top of the bill which also included Steve Miller.

Thanks Barry. And thanks to the Magyar gentleman.

When Beefheart is good, he’s very good.

this concert is a beefheart gem…for those who want to listen to a group of accessible songs that may help you to tune the ear to a little of his more ‘difficult’ material then this is the thing…the fact is the captain had howling wolf so intrenched in his mind that he couldn’t avoid being funky, it’s just sometimes he needs some avid listening to convey his awesome groove.Listen to this then safe as milk then electricity and work your way up to trout mask replica.By then you will have discovered the point and smile with a knowing grin as you funk your way around the living room
