Vienna Wighalle ’74 (2)

Last week we offered the early show, now it’s time for Vienna Wighalle ’74, Late Show. Oh and could someone ask the janitor to have a look at the central heating? It’s friggin’ cold in here!

Especially nice boot this week. Thank you! Of particular note are the rather demure version of ‘Tush Tush Tush’, the stonkin’ bass solo by Tom Fowler in ‘Dupree’s’ and the generally fine, non-perfunctory solos by George Duke – I once read an interview with him is which he said that he plays better when he’s ‘slightly tired’; since this is the late show, maybe he was a little tired.

always been a fan of this era, although little of it comes close to the ferocity encountered on YCDTOSA 2. thanks for the post! dupree’s does indeed rock.
