    Noooooooo!
I guess I better finish off my FZ Ryko releases collection soon.

Actually, this is a good thing – forget what Frank felt about WB. Ryko was next to insolvent; this deal keeps their catalogue going…
If the market exists, there will be a far greater chance of our Euro buddies buying a copy of an FZ catalogue release from Warner’s than it would for Ryko.
AFA America goes, you still won’t find it in Wal-Mart, no matter who is behind it.

  4. SOFA says:

Okay, I will admit that’s not fair (true, yes; fair, no). I did purchase my copy of ‘Strictly Genteel’ in a Wal-Mart…

  5. Sofa, maybe I misunderstood you but if you’re saying that Ryko’s FZ releases were/are hard to find in Europe, that wouldn’t be true. With the exception of Roxy & Elsewhere, Hot Rats, Lumpy Gravy, Waka/Jawaka and a couple others, most of my FZ collection are Ryko releases (which should give you a pretty good idea of when I got into FZ heheh!) on sale in regular record shops.

Btw I don’t really mind the take-over by WB, just had to grin at the irony involved in a company despised by FZ now obtaining his entire back catalogue…
