YouTube really is a godsend for digging up rare video. Here‘s some sort of compilation which includes (at around 1:30) The Mothers Of Invention miming to Suzy Creamcheese on a TV show called “From The Bitter End”, back in 1967 — except FZ doesn’t mime the lyrics, he mimes “motherfucker” all the way through. Have a look (and be patient because it takes a while before the relevant footage comes on):
Thanks Fawlky!
Edit: some pretty graphic NSFW material in the above clip — you have been warned…
I also like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If7qe0cmKnk from 1983 where FZ talks about Thing-Fish and shows some early images of Ob’Dewlla ‘X’ and Thing-Fish. He also quotes from the liner notes of the album yet to be produced.
He says that Thing-Fish should open on Broadway on Halloween 1984 (nope, didn’t happen) and that it would cost 4 million dollars (which may be so but you can do it for less).
Should I think about a “youtube” campaign for the forthcoming book on “An authorized adaptation of Frank Zappa’s Thing-Fish”? With video snippets from the DVD we made? I dunno yet and decided on this little ZFT proceedure of teasing …
Warning! This video contains some quite disgusting material after the Zappa clip!
Oops, sorry about that. I stopped watching once Charles Manson was on…
I seem to have spotted a girl giving someone a golden shower, too. Well, for those who like it, go ahead. /me can live happily w/o stuff like this…
Once you have made it past the golden shower, though, the Zappa clip is cool! ;-))
NSFW= not suitable for werk
Who would have guessed??? Oh well, I didnt like that job anyways…
Barry, you need a KUR “funky”; because that’s a Smegma! if I ever read one…
NSFW = new south fucking wales, it’s in aus – fucking – tralia
Interesting collage – Isn’t there a ‘you promised you wouldn’t…’ caption missing…
