He looks very creepy in that photo too…

  3. Bappy Lorenzo says:

    “Howard’s Personal Shoes”-Isn’t that a GTOs outtake?

  4. Bappy Lorenzo says:

Oops, that was Marc Bolan’s Personal Shoes. Joke ruined! Never mind!

Wow…Howie must be hurtin’ for money. But it does sound like he has a few gems there. Hope whomever buys this stuff doesn’t get reamed.

Could be fascinating acetates for Mothers/T Rex fans. How many T Rex fans are Zappa fans anyhow?
I personally would love to get a hold of the 200 Motels script- transcribe it and post it so everyone can enjoy it and then I gets sued by Gail!

  7. SOFA - Philostopher/Chef says:

    I’ve been a Bolan fan for years…
I think my first exposure was Metal Guru; a hippy chick I knew was a big fan, she turned me on to him. I remember She was Born to be My Unicorn and Jeepster too.
Except for Bang a Gong, no one in the US has heard of him…

  8. Regyptianofdestiny says:

Yeah, i enjoy me some T. rex as well. I’m partial to electric warrior, which coincidentally was the album featuring Flo & Eddie!

wish i could even see that Billy the Mountain script. JABFLA is great!

Is it allowed to add something?

T Rex / Bolan was – essentially- ( new ) jewish music in the making. Compare it with – in France – Gainsbourg, exactly the same. Never underestimate that.

FZ was not a Jew. New, unbound music.

  10. KDB says:

I get off on the strange chord progressions in T Rex- “20th Century Boy”‘s my fav.
Was he a Jew? I thought he was an elf.
