RIP Michael Brecker

Saxophonist Michael Brecker, who contributed to several FZ recordings including Zappa In New York, has died of leukemia at the age of 57. (And yes, this page has read like an obituary column lately… let’s hope it doesn’t stay that way!)

    So the question is : when will Dr. Sharleena give birth to a child . To carry on.

    Why do I say this? Because we shold all be future oriented & forward looking. Thus : be hopefull.

    Has anyone ever counted all the musicians FZ ever used? Given their current ages, and the fact that no one gets out of here alive, it’s sad but not very surprizing to hear of their passing. At least their music remains, and as we all know…Music is the best!

    Dammit. His tenor sax solo during Black Napkins (YCDTOSA 6) is as near perfection as you are ever likely to find.
