Last.fm

Right, as usual I’m the last person in the world to jump onto the hipness that is Last.fm. I’ve only just signed up and am still playing around with it but this could be interesting. As per the site’s blurb: “Discover new artists, find out when their gigs are and invite friends. Create a profile to share your music taste with friends and listen to personalised radio.”
My profile incidently is at last.fm/user/uglyradio. Any of you out there on last.fm too? Wanna be friends? :D

Update: here’s Dr Sharleena’s profile!

I’ve recently had to clear my charts because FZ was overpowering everything else, severely limmiting my choice in neighbours.

  2. Heh-heh: my last.fm’s taste-o-meter for all you guys says: “Your musical compatibility rating with (…) is: Very Low”! To my defense, I like to put iTunes on Party Shuffle which is why stuff like the Carpenters or Zita Swoon pops up in my playlist… :)

  3. Ryan says:

Barry, the reason your taste-o-meter is so low is because it hasn’t charted enough tracks yet. It’ll most likely get higher in short time.

    Ha, here’s mine: http://www.last.fm/user/mediocre

I also frequently put the winamp on shuffle, but FZ comes out an absolute winner in the end.

  5. evaristo says:

FZ doesn’t come up too high on mine (just an embarassing third place) but that’s just because i prefer to listen to him on cd format than on mp3… Remember cds? Ok, so i’m a luddite.

  6. No need to sweat it evaristo :) My playlist results are skewed too since I only have some 25 of FZ’s albums in iTunes (whereas I do own all official releases — on CD). Oh and the list is further distorted by the fact that Dr Sharleena has some stuff that I don’t have, and vice versa…
