Shepherds Bush should be better than RAH – but I don’t think it’s as big. I guess it’s standing, I think standing allows for a better atmosphere to develop. The RAH was a bit too formal.

Prince in August then ZPZ in September, bitchin’!

  2. Hans says:

Amsterdam, Melkweg! Yes! No more Heineken Music Hall! Sucky venue venue, even worse beer.

  3. bernard says:

    Yes, much better than Vorst.

Where ? Entrance is just beside the entrance of the Antwerp Zoo.

  4. Aha!
Getting there with the car will be fun though, bleh…

  5. Bálint says:

Well, the venue in Budapest was not full, but I HOPE they come here again! The critical acclaim was overwhelming, so all the guys that were present would come PLUS one person each. At least. Come, please!!!

  6. Eugenio says:

what happened to Italian venues? I hope they still have to announce them…

  7. Balint says:

Well, I HOPE too this is only the northern leg of the tour! They should come downwards!

  8. Don’t quote me on it, but judging from the previous Euro-ZPZ tour schedule, the above list is most probably conclusive…

Balint: get yer ass on Skype, will ya! :)

  9. luc Hallaert / Belgium says:

My prayers are answered. I will be present at the Tilburg and Antwerp performance. See you there Barry.
    Thanx Dweezil !!

  10. scott says:

    Any word on special guests?

  11. timmo says:

    only 1 UK date…………..hmmmmmmmmm.

  12. Hipbone says:

I just got word of the new surprise guest for this ZPZ tour from a man on the inside….unfortunately, I’d lose all my cred if I spilt the beans so mums the word!

Lame hint: It’s an awesome singer from Zappa past!

  13. Michael Pabst says:

    Ray White?

  14. Hans says:

    Howard Kaylan? (“Eddie”)
    Mark Volman? (“Flo””)

  15. Benedict says:

is Napoleon Murphy Brock still in the line up?

  16. Balint says:

Ray White would be nice!!!! He’s the best!

  17. Balint says:

    Here’s the secret:
“Joining the tour this year is Ray White, the vocalist who toured and recorded with Frank Zappa during the period of such albums as Tinsel Town Rebellion, You Are What You Is and Zappa in New York (his is the lead vocal on the song “The Illinois Enema Bandit”).”
    .
    Wooowwww!!! FAN-TAS-TIC!!!
    .
from: Guitar World (through Zappa Jam Session)

  18. Balint says:

No links allowed? I’ve just added a comment (that dissappeared) in which I said:
Yes! Ray White is the specialguest! According to Guitar World!
    .
I’ve also mentioned, that WOOOWWW!!! FAN-TAS-TIC!!!

  19. You have been de-spammed, Sir!
Ray White, eh? Hmmm, let me chew on that for a while…

  20. Michael Pabst says:

There is no mention of NMB in the Guitar World article :-(

  21. Michael Pabst says:

… and he also disappeared from the ZPZ players page :-( :-( :-(

  22. Benedict says:

Hmm, Yellow Shark songs. I presume these won’t be Dog Breath, Pound For A Brown etc. I don’t know of any other ‘rock’ group who’ve performed the orchestral material, it’s normally the other way around – orchestral groups performing rock (or synclavier) material.

  23. UniMuta says:

013 (tilburg), koningin elisabeth hall (antwerp) and even melkweg (amsterdam) are relative small venues. But then, without Vai and Bozzio, the audience will probably be a bit smaller too.
The sound in the koningin elisabeth hall is as good as it can get. so you shouldn’t worry about that.

    see you there

    — UniMuta

  24. I’ll buy you a beer UniMuta! :)
Will you be going to the Tilburg and Amsterdam venues as well?

  25. Hugh says:

Great to hear that Ray White is joining this leg of the ZPZ Tour.
Replacing Napoleon Murphy Brock who I met at a “Ed Palmero Big Band” gig in NYC back in December ’06. Napoleon told me he just signed up for 100 more shows. So what happened? Brock, Bozzio & Vai have a way stealing a show. Maybe Dweezil wants to keep the spotlight on the music, not the musicians. A thought.
