Interesting.
Now I didn’t vote in this one and I may be about to get shot down in flames for this (how appropriate given the current state of affairs) but is there any great difference between “melodic progression” and “arrangements of the tunes” ? If you lump in the guitar solos then overwhelmingly the “music is the best” comes out tops.

Hmmm yes maybe I was a bit unclear about that. By “musical progressions” I meant the way FZ’s compositions jump seemingly effortlessly from one incredibly complex theme to the next (often time abruptly changing the overall mood as well), while still maintaining a sense of it being one composition. By “arrangements of the tunes” I meant the way things are orchestrated, the practical aspect of how the tunes are actually being executed (horns, percussion, classical orchestral renditions, …). I’ll try and be more clear about those terms in the next poll…
