Every so often I need a reminder of why I spend money on KUR. Every so often, I get the answer. Today’s answer was purchasing the Baby Snakes DVD. Two hours plus of sheer musical heaven — man I love this one (right down to the five year old Roxy DVD Yet To Come To Fruition Trailer, but I digress). Two questions though: is Roy Estrada’s hairdo real? And is that girl Angel-With-The-White-Painted-Face high on quaaludes or what?

That’s a very good DVD. It a bit sad that there’s so few videotaped shows Does anyone knows of others than Baby Snakes and Does Humor Belong in Music. The Amazing Bickford doesn’t count. And for the Angel chick, you had to admire her capability to be in the right place at the right time. In the front row at the stage two shows in a row plus at the exit as well after the last one.
It’s about time Halloween 81 (as shown on MTV) and Barcelona 88 saw the official light of day.
Ho hum.
I don’t know if Angel was high, but at one
point, she was sitting next to me, in about
the tenth row, and she was extremely unfriendly !
Wow Ken, you attended one of those shows? You wouldn’t be the guy that went on stage to receive the Warner Bros spanking, would you? ;)
Oh man I’d have LOVED to be the Warner Bros spankee – that was killer.
I think Roy Estrada’s hair is real. I’m gonna dress up as him for Halloween – I already have the goatee. I will need a wig. I’m still trying ot find a chain mail shirt. I have a blow up doll that I will “bathe” in sinks.
Baby Snakes = best DVD ever.
I’m not the spankee, but I do know Joey
Psychotic, does that count for something ?
BTW, I’ve seen a LOT of shows…
You just bought it now?
How could you wait almost a whole year?
Uhh well I only recently bought myself a decent DVD-player… :)
