Last.fm now allows for the making and off-site inclusion of playlist “widgets”. Let’s see how that works out! Here are my Recently Played Tracks (my iTunes is currently on Party Shuffle mode by the way):
Now then: I’ve shown you mine — care to show me your widget? :D
You said “FM”?
1,2,3,4….
“Bury of the bottle, Mamma, it’s grape fruit wine.
Kick off your high heel sneakers, it’s party time
The girls don’t seem to care what’s on
As long as it plays till dawn
Nothin’ but blues and Elvis
And somebody else’s favorite song
Give her some funked up music she treats you nice
Feed her some hungry reggae she’ll love you twice
The girls don’t seem to care tonight
As long as the mood is right
No static at all
[No static at all]
No static at all
FM, no static at all”
Give her some funked up music she treats you nice
Feed her some hungry reggae she’ll love you twice
The girls don’t seem to care tonight
As long as the mood is right
No static at all
[No static at all]
No static at all
FM, no static at all”
LOL! I love Steely Dan, and I was just waiting a topic to fill a lirycs with! :D
Well indeed very instructive & it broadens the mind. I’ll give it a try.
However it’s still very pigeon holed. It’s about pop & rock, limlitring itself to that boundary.
Take FZ. You should – from the side of contemporary ” classical ” music – be linked to Varèse and Cage. Does it happen? No. Furthermore you, should be linked to Luciano Berio. Why? Both of them were besically Italians, i e composers in the Italian style. For instance : (1) playing notes staccato when you expect legato ( see FZ s guitar solos), (2) the priciple ” there is never such a thing as a final score”, you just keep reinventing, changing existing scores, etc.

Tom Waits put Tommy The Cat on one of his own albums? Or is that a mislabel? Also, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
Not only does Barry have a very fine website, but now you can listen to his very own radio whilst you while away the hours on-line. Thanks, Barry!

Copying the widget code here in the comments does not work, as you can see!
It’s “Invasion of the FM Snatchers” time!
I’ve been listening to Green Day on Barry’s fm and now he has an embarrassment seizure; stay tuned to the next trespass :D
