too bad i can’t access Real Player from work…

  2. Bob Again says:

when gawd made the poodle initially….

listening as we speak. Wow!! I have never been a fan of Nap Murph Brock, but the rest of this band, well hear for yourself, boys and girls! I hope this exposure sparks sales for the ZFT, as one theory of internet exposure goes. Of course, the opposite might be true now that it is available through “other” means. Oh well, Frank put it to Warners this way. I guess the Chrome Dinette can put it to ZFT this way, too. Let’s hope The Dweez gets his price for Jimi’s guitar to make it up!

Wha happened there. I’m too excited. Gotta go listen…Oz…uugh…ooh….

  4. Bob Again, again says:

    ….how could I be such a fool??

just as I post my knock on the Brockman, well as I said before, hear it for yourself, boys and girls!!

ain’t got no heart to give away!

So far, my absolute favorite on Oz is Canard Tujours, but is anybody surprised? There is Let’s Move to Cleveland in its unevolved original form, but still being a very intriguing piece. This is followed closely in my estimation by Kaiser Rolls. I like the way it blends into the next song (Find Her Finer). Spare version of Zoot Allures. I like it! It’s a spare band, small in size but delivering big sound. I will have it one day.

BTW, Bob I have a copy of the Heart album. Crazy on Youuuuuu! Crazzy on Ozzzzzzz…

Thanks for alerting me, Sharl. Listen to it tonight and let me know what you think of it

I’ve been a voyeur here on this forum for some time now, and this is the first time I feel absolutely compelled to write. I’m stuck here at work and can’t wait to get home to hear OZ. I have yet to order it (I thought I’d let the craziness die down a bit)—so I’m very thankful to the guys at the Dinette. BTW, I love your site. The Hot Poop section is part of my daily regimen—about fifty times. Thanks Mods!!!

  7. Barry says:

I’m in the same situation as you right now, Fru! I’m at work here, facing another 8 hours before I can go listen! Aaaaargh!! BIG thanks to The Chrome Dinette for making FZ:OZ album of the month… :-)

  8. Bob Again, again, aga... says:

    Thank you, thank you….

  9. Dr Sharleena says:

I could give it a listen yesterday during dinner, and, what can i say…It’s luxurious.
The advantage of having a small band is, that there’s a lot of Frank solos in this release! Each one of them more beautiful and different…Black Napkins is sublime. I’m enjoying it now, again, before i have to go to work. Liked Kaiser Rolls too…But my panties fell off with the Take Your Clothes Off version (unlike Bob, i’ve been a Nappy fan since ALWAYS!) AAAAAH, it was love at first sight! liked also the blend with the “What’s the ugliest part of your body” bit…
All the time i was thinking, how weird must have been having attended to this concert in Australia in the seventies…
Thanks for the kind words, Frunobulax. Our pleasure! (at least it’s mine :-)
I’m glad we all could give this record a listen. Thanks also to The Chrome Dinette!!

  10. Bob Again says:

The Brockman shines on this extravaganzappa as a vocalist! I have to remind myself to think of him as a vocalist first, woodwinds second, in terms of what he adds to the overall.

  11. appropriot says:

    It’s very good!
did you listened to the slow part of Camarillo, the vocal hamony is a very parody of “helpless” by CSNY on Deja-vu!!
