Dan Gillmor says: “…in the middle of a supposed news report, [CNN is] playing ominous-sounding music in the background while the anchor/reporter talks and the images are displayed on the screen. This is a technique movie-makers use to stir up viewers’ emotions. It works.“

As a certified TV news junkie, I had to go cold turkey to rid myself of the addiction. Six months post-detox and I can’t say I miss it. KILL UGLY TV!
…in fact, the result of kicking TV news is just the same as kicking any other disgusting habit. I find any exposure to the medium completely revolting.
